On September 12, Toyo University held a welcome party for exchange students enrolled in Fall, AY 2017 at Sky Hall. This semester, the university welcomed 62 exchange students from 15 countries including the U.S., the UK, Finland, China, and South Korea. The welcome party began with an opening address by President Takemura. Kazuo Takahashi, the director of the Center for Global Education and Exchange, followed with a toast.

In addition to exchange students from 15 countries, many Japanese students interested in international communication attended the welcome party. Although this party represented the first occasion for many of the students to meet one another, they all enjoyed communicating with each other amid a friendly atmosphere. At the end of the party, all of the students enjoyed participating in an activity coordinated by one of Toyo's international communication clubs, which helped them develop their new friendships even further.

We sincerely hope that all of our exchange students beginning their studies this semester will make many precious memories and friendships at Toyo University.
