Kyoto University accepts exchange students from 154 institutions (as of 20 September 2022) under university-level student exchange agreements.
From 27 to 30 September, Student Lounge KIZUNA hosted its first-ever 'welcome week' for new incoming students from these institutions as part of its monthly event series. A total of 172 eligible students visited the facility's reading room over the four days to receive their 'welcome packets', containing a student ID card and a set of information materials, from KIZUNA's student tutors and staff. Many of the students seemed excited about their new chapter in life as they listened to the tutors' guidance on how to prepare for the upcoming semester in Kyoto.
