On April 14, 2023, Prof. Dong Seog Han (Dean of College of IT Engineering) and Prof. Sangmoon Lee (Head of School of Electronics Engineering) of Kyungpook National University visited NAIST.

 At the courtesy visit, Dr. Jun Ohta (Vice President for International affairs), Prof. Keiichi Yasumoto (Dean of Graduate School of Science and Technology), Prof. Kazushi Ikeda, and Mr. Robert King (UEA, Center for International Students and Scholars) welcomed the delegation.

 Following greetings on both sides, Mr. King introduced NAIST's research and education activities, and then Prof. Han gave an introduction of Kyungpook National University. They shared ideas about educational programs, student recruitment strategies, and the current situation of collaborative research with industry at both universities.

 After the courtesy visit, the delegation visited Information Science Complex and signed an extension for the Agreement of Academic Exchanges. With this renewal, the original agreement from 2018 was extended from the school level to college level at Kyungpook National University to promote wider collaboration.

 Finally, they held a workshop to seek seeds for future collaboration through the presentation of current research and the institutions' research achievements.

 Both institutions expect this visit will serve as further stimulation of our educational and research collaborations.
