Student SDGs Promoters exhibited SDG booth at HAKKO trip.
December 10, 2020
On November 21 (Saturday), Nagaoka University of Technology (NUT)'s Student SDGs Promoters participated a family-friendly event "Nagaoka city, a place of fermentation ~HAKKO trip~" held in Nagaoka City Hall Aore. The students exhibited a booth introducing university's SDG activities as part of its promotion aimed at raising awareness of the SDGs among local communities.
Many people visited the site on the day, and many children and parents visited our SDG booth. The students provided opportunities to explain sustainable societies through board games (SDG Carom and SDG Activity games) and enjoy learning about the SDGs.
All though we are facing the impact of COVID-19, where some activities are limited to hold, there were many children playing SDG games with their shining eyes. It also provides us with a valuable time to learn about the SDGs together with the children who will lead the future. In addition, it was a meaningful time for the students who are promoting initiatives to achieve the SDGs.
NUT will continue to plan events and seminars focusing on SDGs in order to raise awareness not only within the university, also to the society through our unique SDG initiatives.
