Implementation of MEXT's FY 2018 Preparatory Education for Chinese Graduate Students to Japan

As part of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's FY 2018 Preparatory Education for Chinese Graduate Students to Japan, Okayama University dispatched 13 members of a teacher delegation, with Professor Takashi Ohtsuki from the Graduate School of Interdisciplinary Science and Engineering in Health Systems taking the lead, to China for about one month from July 26 to August 30.
The teacher delegation provided The Technical Japanese Language Courses according to fields of study in 10 groups--Mechanical Engineering & Physics; Material Science; Electronics and Communication Engineers & Information Engineering; Architecture, Geography, and Civil Engineering; Biology (plants); Biology (animals); Chemistry & Pharmaceutics; Medicine; Liberal Arts A; and Liberal Arts B--for 105 students who are going to study in Japanese graduate schools .
On August 30, the completion ceremony was held at the Preparatory School in China for the Students Going to Study in Japanese Graduate Schools located in Changchun, China. After the ceremony, the Preparatory School granted a "Certificate of Honor" to teachers of the teacher delegation for specialized education in Japanese to honor their remarkable accomplishments. Furthermore, the Special Contribution Prize was awarded to Deputy Chief of the Delegation Ei Sakaguchi, Honorary Professor Toshiro Kuroda, and Honorary Professor Seiki Saito et al, who have been committed to the Preparatory Education Project for a long period of time.
