Educators from the Sub-Saharan African region pay a courtesy call on President Makino

8093_image_1.jpgOn September 4, 11 educators from various Sub-Saharan African region, including Ethiopia, Ghana, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, and South Sudan, paid a courtesy call on President Hirofumi Makino. President Makino received mementos from the educators from these countries who visited Okayama University.
They came to Japan in order to receive the Knowledge Co-Creation Program (Group and Region Focus) on Improvement of Quality Teaching and Evaluation Methodology in Primary Science and Mathematics for Sub-Saharan Africa, which is entrusted to our university by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). 8093_image_2.jpgFor two months ending on October 26, they are scheduled to learn practical teaching methodologies of primary science and mathematics through a productive program in which they will visit elementary schools in Okayama Prefecture and give trial lessons.
