Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Graduate School of Health Sciences welcome the 11th batch of O-NECUS program students and the 1st batch of O-NECUS program students, respectively

8083_image_1.jpgOkayama University's Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences and Graduate School of Health Sciences welcomed O-NECUS program (Okayama University-North East China Universities Platform Graduate Student Exchange Program) students in October 2018.

Launched in 2008, this program aims to provide world-class education, make our graduate degrees internationally accepted and improve the quality of education through collaborative development of excellent human resources by Okayama University and four universities in northeast China.

In the academic year starting in October 2018, 8083_image_2.jpgthe Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences took in 7 students from Harbin Medical University, 5 students from China Medical University and 5 students from Dalian Medical University. The Graduate School of Health Sciences took in 3 students from Dalian Medical University. It was the graduate school's first time to welcome O-NECUS program students. The Chinese students will receive guidance in the area of their research for a year.

At a welcome ceremony held at the Graduate School of Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmaceutical Sciences on October 4, Prof. Osamu Matsushita, chairman of Medical and Dental Sciences, encouraged the newly enrolled students by saying, "I hope you will enhance your expertise in the area of your research and pave the way for your future, while considering going on to earn a doctoral degree as an option." The new students introduced themselves to one another and expressed their aspirations for the year in Japan.
