SIT Rises to 28th among All Japanese Univerisites, 6th Among Privates

Fifth Consecutive Year Rise

In the March 25, 2022 issue of the British T.H.E. (Times Higher Education) magazine's ranking of Japanese universities, Shibaura Institute of Technology (SIT) ranked 28th overall and 6th among private universities. SIT's 32nd place for "Environment" and 27th for "Engagement" were also higher than last year. These rankings are SIT's highest ever, having improved for five years in a row since the rankings started in 2017.

SIT will continue assuring and improving the quality of its education as a global model for science and engineering education with the goal of "Fostering global engineers and scientists who learn from international society and contribute to global sustainability."
SIT will mark the 100th anniversary of its founding in 2027, its target year to become one of Asia's top 10 engineering universities. With this goal in mind, it will continue moving forward with its Centennial SIT Action plan for university reform.
