Toyo University

Call for Participants: Toyo Model UN

January 20, 2023

Toyo University Model United Nations (Toyo MUN) has been conducted online mainly by our students since the year 2020, and attracted a large number of participants from universities in Japan and overseas including UMAP member universities, achieving a wide range of results.

In particular, Toyo MUN 2022 attracted 150 participants (as both delegates and members of the audience) from 20 countries around the world, representing a wide network of educational institutions. Delegates engaged in two consecutive days of heated debate and fruitful collaboration. From Toyo University, 9 students participated as delegates, and 14 students as volunteers for the operation of the event.

For this academic year, we are preparing to host a two-day online conference on Saturday, March 18 and Sunday, March 19, 2023. Since 2022, Toyo MUN is held as a part of the Online Collaborative Education in the Asia Pacific - UMAP-based SDGs Online Collaborative Learning and Virtual Model United Nations (MUN), for which Toyo University has been selected as a project of the Japan Forum for Internationalization of Universities (JFIU).
